Service Description

Get in touch with the slow art of clay and create your own "Slow Set" to use in your daily life. During this workshop you will be shown basic hand-building techniques that have been used for centuries. With your hands in the clay we allow ourselves to slow down, letting the creative process unfold. For making the "Slow set" we will work with a white stoneware clay (with a little speckle) for hand vorming the cups/mugs, bowls and plates (6 pieces in total). All levels are welcome to join this handbuilding workshop where you will experience the joy and fulfilment of working with your hands and this earthy material (no pottery wheel needed). At the end of the workshop all pieces will undergo a transformational process, "the slow clay". Starting with the slowly drying of the clay, bisque firing, glazing, followed by the final firing. **For the workshops in January the processing time will be a bit longer, up to 4 months**.
