Service Description

Join this one-day workshop where we will create our own vase in the green surroundings of Tuinderij Wijdehorst.
 The day begins with a warm welcome with tea, coffee, and cake, followed by a guided tour through the gardens where you will learn how vegetables and flowers are grown. Surrounded by nature, you will be invited to slow down and find inspiration in the landscape around us.
 During the handbuilding workshop you will learn handbuilding techniques to shape your own vase. Step by step you will be guided through the process, focusing on building the form and decorating your piece with natural plant imprints. No prior experience with clay is needed — the workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.
 Around midday we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with locally grown vegetables from the garden. After lunch there will be time to continue working on your piece and refine the details.
 The finishing, drying, firing, and glazing will be completed later in my studio. After approximately eight weeks, your piece will be ready to be picked up at Tuinderij Wijdehorst. If needed, shipping can be arranged.
 The workshop takes place in a small group setting to allow for personal guidance.
