Service Description

Get in touch with the slow art of pottery making. Join us for a long weekend and dive into the world of wild clay pottery. Guided by Laura from When Life is Slow, this workshop will take you on a journey of slowing down and connecting with the land. During our time together, we will explore the art of pottery using natural materials and clay from our local surroundings. We will collect samples of clay and learn how to process them to make pottery. The workshop is for anyone who feels drawn to work more with their hands, connect with nature and open up to your creative side. No previous experience is necessary making this slow and grounding experience accessible to all. As we immerse ourselves in the natural environment, we will draw inspiration from the elements around us. With Laura's guidance, you will discover handcrafting techniques that have been used for centuries. In this wild clay weekend it is all about exploring the earth and following its lead to create, it is always a surprise what will come out as a result since we are working with a natural material. This way we will let the pieces we create dry naturally by air and on the last evening we will gather around the fire to slowly bake our pottery. At the end of the weekend, you will have a unique piece of pottery that serves more as a decorative object, a souvenir from this grounding & creative weekend.
