Get in touch with the slow art of clay and create your own Slow Set to use in your daily life.
During this workshop you will be shown basic hand building techniques that have been used for centuries. With your hands in the clay we allow ourselves to slow down, letting the creative process unfold. For making the Slow set you can choose from two different stoneware clays and natural glaze options for your cups/mugs/plates. There is either a workshop in which we make a set for 1 person or for two, see agenda for upcoming workshops.
All levels are welcome to join this handbuilding workshop where you will experience the joy and fulfilment of working with your hands and this earthy material (no pottery wheel needed).
At the end of the workshop all pieces will return to my studio where the slow clay process will start. It might take up to 6-8 weeks for your pieces to be finished and send by post to you.

L O C A T I O N
The workshop is hosted in my studio shared with two other local creatives in a former school building in Voorburg next to The Hague.
The location is easily accessible with public transport and free parking is available.

THE PAST CLAY WORKSHOPS
I had a lovely slow afternoon with a small group of others, crafting the clay and sipping away some tea. The atmosphere was very cozy and allowed me to concentrate and relax fully which is not so available in the daily routine.... Ik vond het onwijs tof hoe er eerst uitleg werd gegeven over de klei en de verschillende technieken om iets te creëeren en wij vervolgens volledig vrij waren om ons eigen ding te doen. Jij hielp ons waar nodig met aanwijzingen maar liet ons het compleet zelf doen wat een goed gevoel gaf. Niks was niet mooi of gek. Echt onwijs positief verrast!
